Seven Ethiopians were seriously injured in a car accident in Muranga south a few days ago, leaving the country in disbelief.
During the accident, one individual died. It has later been revealed that the person who died was an off-duty KDF officer. According to preliminary investigations, the officer may have been a member of a big trafficking gang operating along the Kenyan-Ethiopian border.
According to a local newspaper, an eye witness has revealed that the slain cop was not working alone. He was reportedly alongside another soldier who was armed with a weapon. Following the collision, the officer was seen fleeing in a Matatu on its way to Thika. The identity of the other officer is still unknown.
