Pope Francis shared a message saying that parents should never condemn their gay children. This can be interpreted that instead of condemning them, they should accept them and love them just the way they are and show them them support.
Overjoyed Makena Njeri responded to Pope Francis saying that the people of her kind are here to stay. She challenges the government of Kenya and the people who are against gay society in Kenya to stop discriminating them and speaking negative of them.
The Bible which guides Christians does not encourage gay acts and many churches in the country have spoken against it too. The Kenyan government also does not encourage it neither. The African society strongly believes that gay acts is something that should not be encouraged in any way.
