Customers of KPLC are being asked to set up bill alerts. Initially, all clients were required to wait a few weeks before receiving their monthly payments. Kenya Power used to send all of its bills through the postal service. As a result, clients had to wait a long time and continuously checking their mail boxes for confirmation of their invoices.

Surprisingly, paying KPLC bills is now a straightforward affair. As a result, the entire process may be completed on a mobile phone, and clients can even make payments using their phones.

As a result of the introduction of text-based bill alerts, KPLC has essentially re-invented the entire process of getting electricity utility bills, making it easier for customers to understand.

In summary, consumers had to register for the service using a USSD code in order to receive their electricity bill through text message or email.

However, if you no longer want to receive text message notifications from a meter that is not affiliated with you, there is a simple way out. You can unsubscribe from KPLC bill alerts at any time.

Remember that you can opt out of any alerts services with a USSD code, just as you can subscribe for KPLC bill notifications or request your monthly invoices via a short cord.
